Akeem Jahat is back again, displaying his versatility in his a new single ‘Master P’.

The new single contains several cheeky references, the most obvious being that to hip-hop legend Master P.

Akeem described Master P as someone he looks up to, in both music and his vision as an artist. The cover artwork also pays tribute to an iconic picture of Master P, donning a white bucket hat, in a blue hoodie adorned with silver chains. With a distinct, recognisable hook in the song chorus, ‘Master P’ represents a unique cross-over between classical and hip-hop. 

Having dropped the single on the 8th September, and being in Malaysia for the Hausboom Music Festival, Akeem stopped by the studio for a quick chat with MAG on #PopUpStage. 

Sharing his story of placing CDs on people's cars to being Singapore's breakthrough hip hop artist, Akeem also speaks about creating his own luck, manifesting his goals and staying humble despite the success that he's gained.
