G-SHOCK's 40th Anniversary Pop-Up Tour, in collaboration with the renowned music collective 88rising, will be held at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from October 23, 2023, to October 29, 2023. This exhibition, titled "Rooted in Toughness," presents the evolution of G-SHOCK's durability over four decades since its initial launch in 1983. As the final stop on the pop-up tour, this week-long showcase offers fans a unique opportunity to delve into the world of G-SHOCK and take an immersive journey through its history.
The pop-up will also feature an exclusive display of artist portraits, including iconic figures like Rich Brian, Warren Hue, Spence Lee, and others, who symbolise the fusion of the artists' roots and modern toughness, perfectly representing G-SHOCK's heritage.

The MIKAGE PROJECT, a group of musicians, employs traditional Japanese instruments such as the shakuhachi, shamisen, and koto to infuse a modern sensibility into regionally specific Japanese folk tunes, known as Minyo. Their goal is to promote these traditional melodies both in Japan and abroad. Before their journey to Malaysia, they will first visit Thailand to collaborate with Asmidar, a Malaysian vocalist specializing in Asli, traditional Malay music.
