TGV CINEMA’S HYGIENE AND SAFETY PRACTICES DURING MCO

It has been brought to attention that there is a set of photos circulating on social media recently that depict an unidentified cinema hall covered with dust and mould. As so TGV Cinema have done thorough investigation internally and can fully verify that the photos are not a representation of any of their cinema halls.

TGV play a special role of a social destination where people can come together to be entertained and especially in these unprecedented times, customers' and employees’ health and safety are on top of their priority. TGV also stated that they have very strict cinema hygiene and cleanliness procedures which include having the halls thoroughly cleaned after every movie and all equipment at the Candy Bar to be wiped and washed daily.

These strict guidelines were not taken for granted even during the MCO period. As their cinema managers are scheduled to visit each cinema for a thorough check at least twice a week to make sure that all equipment is properly stored, the walls, curtains, carpets, seats as well as screens in the cinema halls are thoroughly sanitised and wiped clean.

TGV also understand that it is vital to diligently follow the maximum safety standards which will ensure peace-of-mind cinematic moments for all of their customers upon reopening after their closure period.

A set of enhanced safety measures will also be executed throughout all 36 locations when they reopen, which include:

1. Hand sanitisers being placed throughout all locations.

2. Temperature checks on each customer at the ticket tearing point.

 3. Sanitising and cleaning common customer touchpoints more frequently including hall seats after every movie session.

 4. Social distance markers being placed at queue zones such as the ticket counter, kiosk, Candy Bar, and washrooms.

5. Social Distance Seating — a unique seating plan that implements having calculated  empty spaces between patrons. This is in line with the social distancing rule which was recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

6. Increasing time in between movie sessions to allow more thorough cleaning and sanitisation.

7. #TGVCares public service announcements (PSAs) being displayed at all locations.

8. TGV employees having their temperatures checked twice a day. They will also observe  higher personal hygiene protocols by washing and sanitising hands regularly as well as wearing masks.
