Perched on the 99th floor of the Ascott Star KLCC, Alva KL promises an unparalleled journey for the senses, providing panoramic views of the iconic KLCC Twin Towers and TRX Tower. 

Transforming the realm of fusion cuisine, this esteemed sky dining and grill establishment is redefining culinary landscapes. The menu not only tantalizes taste buds but also enchants the eyes. Whether seated indoors or at the cozy outdoor bar, patrons can savor modern fusion dishes against the backdrop of a breathtaking cityscape. The bar, inspired by the stone age and elegantly engraved with the restaurant's name, presents handcrafted cocktails and mocktails meticulously designed to complement the culinary offerings seamlessly.

ALVA KL be described in one word: breathtaking. The gods seemed to smile upon us as the sun dipped into a golden hue of orange and red before disappearing into a mesmerizing violet descent.

Now, let's delve into the culinary delights. We were treated to an assortment of meticulously crafted highlights that surpassed all expectations. Unlike the usual scenario where a restaurant with a view relies on visual appeal alone, ALVA offers a distinct experience.

For starters, the TRUFFLE CHIPS were thinly sliced, striking a balance between playful and impactful, with just the right touch of truffle—thankfully not overwhelming, unlike some places that tend to go overboard. The nachos were decent, appropriately loaded with beef—neither drowning nor oversaturated. An additional appetizer, charred corn topped with chicken lard, emerged as a favorite highlight. The tiger pop (tiger prawns) showcased impeccable battering, allowing the textured meat of the prawns to shine through. The scallops, paired with yam toast, deserved accolades, providing a burst of joy in every bite. The spinach risotto with cuttlefish and the Garlic butter Spaghetti held their ground, complementing each other seamlessly.

Moving on to the entrees, while the LAMB RIBS were deemed mediocre, it's a matter of preference, as the sauce was masterfully crafted. The true star of the show was THE MISO COD, presented in a bowl adorned with lotus inspiration—a perfect symphony for the most divine COD ever tasted. It evoked a sense of awe reminiscent of witnessing a breathtaking sunset.

Desserts were equally impressive: the Coconut Panna Cotta with gula melaka paired perfectly with the Above the Cloud TIRAMISU.

To conclude, the bubbly Luc Belaire Lux & Rose added a touch of panache and sophistication, concluding the meal with just the right amount of class. ALVA KL left us pleasantly surprised and thoroughly impressed—deserving of a round of applause and heartfelt admiration.
