Women's Pelvic Health on AFO LIVE

Pelvic Health is very important in all women. While many women around the world may struggle with pelvic floor dysfunction, very few seek treatment. Pelvic floor dysfunction is the inability to control the pelvic floor group of muscles resulting in various issues such as urinary incontinence, stubborn belly, back pain, pelvic organ prolapse and sexual dysfunction. 

With that in mind, the first Pelvic Care Centre in Malaysia took it upon themselves to address the struggles of women affected by pelvic floor dysfunction, and will be launching a movement dubbed She Took Charge. This movement is set to empower women to take control of their lives and will feature steps celebrity moms sharing their stories as part of pelvic health awareness.  

On Wednesday, MAG speaks to Dr. Bahiyah Abdullah, Urogynaecologist and Head of Department of O&G Faculty of Medicine, UiTM who specialises in helping women deal with pelvic health issues.
