Like Hari Raya, this year brings a whole new scene to the Gawai and Keaamatan celebrations in Sabah and Sarawak. With the Conditional Movement Control Order, no mass gatherings are allowed, therefore not allowing families to gather together to celebrate the harvest festival. 

Nevertheless, to ignite the spirit of Gawai and Keaamatan in the hearts and minds of those celebrating, MAG put together a Gawai Keaamatan Special to discover more about this much awaited festival of our friends in East Malaysia. 

To get a clearer insight to the festival, the misconceptions, the food and the festival, come hear from the lovely Sabahan songbird Nikki Palikat and Sarawak sweetheart Pete Kallang. They will be sharing their stories with a tune or 2 to entertain you on a Saturday evening.
