Latin America meets Malaysia
Latin America gets closer to Malaysia for eleven years in a row, with music, gastronomy, dances and handicrafts from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru, to be displayed at BBPark, Jalan Bukit Bintang, on Sunday 30th June, from 11am to 6pm.
The celebration is organized by seven embassies of the Group of Latin America and Caribbean Countries (GRULAC) in Malaysia, in partnership with Plaza Low Yat, Federal Hotels International, namely The Federal Kuala Lumpur and Hotel Capitol Bukit Bintang, the Latin Women’s Association of Malaysia, and the support of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), in a joint effort to promote the Latin American culture in Malaysia.
Other activities include henna tattoo booth, face painting, and a lucky draw with attractive prizes such as two round trip flight tickets to Mexico City, courtesy of Turkish Airlines, as well as different IT gadgets; and many more for visitors to fully immerse themselves in the rich Latin American cultures at the biggest celebration in Malaysia.
As a tradition, the festival will support one institution that provide assistant to a vulnerable group of the Malaysian society. We are pleased to support the Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled Selangor & Federal Territory that offers help to persons with disabilities to develop and achieve their maximum potential thanks to the rehabilitation, in order for the disabled to earn a living and to improve their quality of life. All the proceeds from the festival will be donated to this institution.
