Justin Bieber collaborates with his good friend, Bloodpop on 'Friends'. The track is about maintaining a friendship with a former lover after their relationship fell apart. Both Bieber and Bloodpop co-wrote the song with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter. Bloodpop also known as Michael Tucker is an American producer who first collaborated with Bieber on the Purpose album. He produced five tracks including "Sorry". His other works were "Devil Pray" by Madonna, Haim's "Want You Back" and Lady Gaga's "Perfect Illusion".
