The film is based on Tang Qi’s novel Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, which spawned a Chinese TV series Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (aka Eternal Love) this year. The series soared in 2017 and is currently the most popular and Number 1 programme in China and many countries all over the world.

Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, renowned as ‘the world’s largest fish market’ is significant not only by its scale but more by its unique role it has played in Japanese food culture. All the best fish around the world, about 2,000 tons of fish worth sixteen million dollars arrive at Tsukiji every morning. Andrew and Garrett Foster (Scott Eastwood and Freddie Thorp) are thieves who specialize in luxury cars, only the most expensive cars.
