Natural disasters, including major floods, that hit several states  and claimed lives marked the end of 2021. The floods occurred following of continuous heavy rain, resulting in several areas in Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Shah Alam, Klang, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor, Petaling and Kuala Lumpur in the Klang Valley, as well as Bentong, Mentakab and Temerloh in Pahang to be  ‘submerged’ under water.The effect was a total devastation. It was like they were hit by a tsunami.  Thousands of people were evacuated to relief centres.The aftermath of the floods was more heart-wrenching with some victims returning home to see their house “gone”. Dozens of families lost their homes, as well as other belongings, including vehicles, which were either submerged in the floods or swept away by the current.It showed how the rakyat, regardless of race and colour, can be united in the face of common hardships. 4-day film festival offers Malaysia audiences the chance to catch Korean movies for free.With sincere hope for overcoming pandemic and economic recovery in Malaysia, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea is pleased to announce the Korean Film Festival (KFF) which will introduce diverse flavours of Korean cinema to Malaysia audiences, from 2-5 December at GSC Mid Valley.  This year's films are diverse in terms of genre; what distinguishes this year's film festival is that the Korean Embassy carefully selected three films from various genres:First and foremost, we are pleased to introduce "Minari (2021)," which was nominated for six Oscars and won an Academy Award out of six nominations last April. It drew over a million viewers in Korea. Minari follows a Korean-American family as they relocate to an Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. With the arrival of their sly, foul-mouthed, but incredibly loving grandmother, the family's home undergoes a complete transformation. Minari demonstrates the undeniable resilience of family and what truly makes a home amidst the instability and challenges of this new life in the rugged Ozarks. This film belongs to the Drama genre.Secondly, "Seobok (2021)" is an excellent film in the Action, Sci-Fi, and Thriller genres. Ki Heon (Gong Yoo), a former intelligence agent who is terminally ill, is assigned the task of safely transporting Seo Bok (Bo-gum), the first human clone. Because the clone possesses the key to immortality, everyone is on the lookout for him in order to obtain the key. Ki Heon will do everything in his power to protect the clone from those with malicious intentions. Finally, "The Hypnosis (2021)" is a Horror and Thriller film about Do-hyun (David LEE), a dedicated English major who enjoys his college life. Professor YEO (SEO Yi-sook) asks Do hyun to assist a newly transferred student who is receiving psychological treatment one day. Do-hyun meets Professor CHOI (SON Byung-ho) and undergoes hypnosis as a result of this. Do-hyun begins to have visions of unknown memories after waking up from hypnosis. A youth organisation from Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malaysia is organizing an entrepreneur-award to recognise and honour Creative Malaysian entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 to 40 years old. Hosted by JCI Lead Tropicana (Selangor), a press conference was held on 3rd April 2021, Saturday in New World Hotel, Petaling Jaya to announce that application is open for the Creative Young Entrepreneur Award (CYEA). To mark International Day of Happiness this 20 March, Wall’s Malaysia is celebrating its second year of partnership with the UNSDSN World Happiness Report. The partnership continues to build momentum for the brand’s mission to make the world a happier, more inclusive place, one street at a time.In addition, Wall’s also released its own research entitled the “Wall’s Manifesto for a Happier World” which was conducted in 2020, surveying a total of 12,500 people from 12 different countries.
